After about 5 months of talking about it, Nate and I finally purchased a REAL camera. We decided on the Nikon D40, mainly due to Nate's Sis-in-law, Kate, who takes amazing pics with hers and the fact that both my sisters recently got Nikon's too (gives you more lense options ;) ). So I haven't gone outside to really take some pictures, but here are a few of my favorite from the first couple of days of having it..
Stevie (aka the Princess):

Sofia (this is my favorite pic so far):

Me and my niece:

Nate (looking very handsome if i do say so myself):

Stevie again (probably thinking about her next meal):

I know I have a lot of catching up to do and I plan on doing it very soon... But hopefully these pics tide you over

Stella misses Stevie soooo much!
Cute pics! That's fun that you got a fancy new camera! I love mine...
I was going to give you one tip. After you load your pictures onto your computer, the best way to erase them from your camera is to hit your menu button, go to the wrench looking option, and then go to FORMAT MEMORY CARD. Choose to format it, and it will ask if it's ok to delete all the pics from your memory card... hit yes (obviously after you've uploaded them to your computer). I read a long time ago (I think on kenrockwell.com) that it keeps your camera running better, and it's better for your memory card. I would bet them same would go for your sister's new camera's too. Some computers will ask you after you upload your pics if you want the computer to erase all your pictures from your camera, but doing it the way I described is better.
Ok that's it. Just thought you'd like to know! Have fun shooting!
I got a new Nikon too! It was the Christmas of cameras...woo hoo! We should get-together soon and take pictures of each other. ;)
I love you new pics!!! I want a really nice camera too. I was so glad you two hung out with us on New Years, it was a lot of fun :)
