Before He Arrived

The week or so before Landon made his debut I had a revelation. I realized that in a week or so Nate and I's lives were going to change forever. The few weeks before I had spent so much time thinking about when Landon would get here. When you are that close to giving birth, I think you sort of become consumed with thinking about the baby's arrival. After a couple of weeks of this type of obsession, my revelation hit. And I am so thankful it did.

Basically I told myself, "Hey, no matter what, this kid is coming. And he's gonna be here in a week or two, at most. Enjoy this last week before life as you know it changes forever." FINALLY, I stopped worrying about WHEN Landon was going to get here and began a sort or farewell to my LBL (life before Landon).

So what did we do? Well, we walked. We finished the baby's room. We spent time at the beach. We relaxed and enjoyed our last few days as a two-person family. We hung with friends. And we ATE. Those of you who know me best, know that I love to EAT. So Nate and I hit up some local San Diego cuisine (and I didn't let myself worry too much about the calories). Here are some pics of the week before Landon came and changed our lives forever (in the best way imaginable). Mostly I have pics of the food, go figure.

We hit up the famous (and delicious) Bronx Pizza!

We stopped by Cafe 222 for some Peanut Butter and Banana stuffed French Toast as seen on Food Network's "the Best Thing I Ever Ate."

We watched some football and Nate yelled as CU had another disappointing loss:

Just the two of us, before we made the Butler Trio:
