Landon has been such an easy-going babe from the start. If he cries, we know that we forgot to take care of something obvious (such as a feeding, dirty diaper, etc.); he just doesn't cry for no reason. When he is awake he has such a happy temperament, Nate and I can't help but return his contagious smiles. We've never had an issue taking him out to dinner or on any outings. He'll just sleep through or quietly take in the sights. He also loves bath time. If you had asked me a month go I would have said that he's not a good sleeper, but even there we've turned a corner (at least for now, I'm not that delusional). He's consistently been sleeping 6-7 hour breaks, making me only have to get up once or twice. And here is my favorite thing: he can fall asleep by himself without crying. When he is getting tired we swaddle him, cuddle/rock him for a little, then we set him in his co-sleeper and he takes care of the rest. If he is really tired he falls right to sleep. If he is not quite ready to sleep, he will talk in his bed until he falls asleep. I'm a new parent, but I feel like that's pretty amazing.
I really believe this has to do with the fact that since he was born we would set him down right before he fell asleep. We wouldn't rock him to sleep and then set him down. I'd read that by putting down babies before they shut their eyes, they learn how to fall asleep on their own. I am a believer!!
He is such a cute little guy and I just can't believe how lucky we are to have such an easy-going baby. I guess it's proof that he is more like his father ;)
And now some pics! Landon got to attend his very first formal event. Here he is on the way to Jenny and Rustin's wedding:
And sleeping through the ceremony:
Cracking up at his Halloween costume (at least that's what I like to think, anyways):
Flirting with his "girlfriend" Erin:
Hangin' with his pops:
I love this little guy!!
