We're Growing!

Guess who is a whole eight months? This guy...

Landon is all over the place these days and a new monthly "photo-shoot" brings with it new monthly obstacles. Someone is starting to pull himself up on things and push off with his legs... like so:

This kid is definitely a curious little one. I'm constantly reminding myself to let him explore even if it means letting him knock off piles of DVDs or check out the front door:

I think of myself as mainly his security guard, stepping in when things are about to get unsafe. He is rarely interested in toys, but shoes, boxes, and one particular paper bag can keep him busy for awhile. This particular bag was left by a friend and has accumulated hours of fun. Landon is determined when he gets something in his sights. I tried to get a picture, but he's just too fast for me. I at least got a profile pic as he sped by on his way to my rainbow sandal:
He's growing up fast, but I'm lucky enough to be with him to witness it. His little eyes still melt my heart:
And, in case you are wondering, those wild and crazy hairs have not been trimmed. I've been voted out and I'm pretty sure Nate would never forgive me if I just cut them. His main reason for keeping them?? "It's funny!"
