Crisis Averted!

I learned a very important lesson on Tuesday: Don't have a laptop near while feeding your one year old lunch. Landon (or me, I really am not positive) knocked over my bottled water and although a lot didn't spill on to the computer, the screen immediately shut off and the whole thing would not turn back on. Although it wasn't a lot of water, the little bit could have poured "perfectly" into the USB inputs.. yadda yadda yadda, I was scared.

After a day of letting it dry out, and even doing the good ol' rice trick, the computer came back to life. Oh happy day! I can't even tell you how upset I was when it happened (I may or may not have immediately started balling). Here in Italy, this computer is my link to the outside world. It's the only way I am in contact to back home and the only device that can pick up enough to WIFI signal to get email consistently and video chat with family and friends. So I am happy to say, "CRISIS AVERTED!!!"
