What you Need to Know About Attending a Napoli Soccer Game

1. Go early. There is no assigned seating and it's normal for people to be in their seats more than 2 hours ahead of time.

2. Follow the long and twisty lines to the front, where you should have your passport and ticket ready. Your ID must match the name on your ticket.
3. Ladies, bring toilet paper. And may I also suggest not having pants that hit the floor. Yes, this is in regards to the bathroom.

4. Forget everything you know about smoke inhalation and fire safety. Flares are allowed and even encouraged by some. I also suggest a scarf to help filter the air.

5. This may be your view if the people next to you partake in said flares.

6. Visitors are to sit in the allocated, netted spot. Expect to have things thrown at you from above. I've been told this does include loved flares. In other words, don't come to a game in Napoli if you're rooting for the other team (the night we went, the other team's fans must have gotten the memo).

7. Once again, forget everything you know about fire safety. People may just be sitting on the stairs to the exit.

8. Remember to have fun and take it all in (well, except for the smoke). You'll never experience anything quite like it.

If you still don't have a good feel for what you are in for when attending a Napoli soccer game, perhaps this short clip will give you a better idea.
