Melrose Place: The Series Finale

The time has come.. Melrose Place has broken up! If you feel completely lost with what I am talking about, let me enlighten you. "Melrose Place" includes a group of our friends here in San Diego who all at one time lived within steps of each other, then started dating, and eventually married. Seems like a bad sitcom (well, yes, that's exactly right), but our happy Melrose Place have been good friends for years. Through neighborly hellos to friendships to dating to marriage and now even to babies, this group of friends have been like family.

Sadly, the time has come for one part of the group to move on to bigger and better things. Erin and Andrew (Erin, being my old roommate and Andrew, Nate's old roommate) have moved to Naples, Italy. Andrew found a great opportunity to work over there and after a long wait, they have finally made the transfer. They will be there for at least 3 years and, boy oh boy, how we will miss them. We wish them all the best and look forward to hearing about their new Italian lives. Miss you, Baughmans!

Lillie Grace Perkins

One of the first things I wanted to do on my Spring Break was go visit Lauren and baby Lille. Monday I headed up to Brea for a quick, one-night visit. Both Mama and baby are doing great! I can already tell Lillie is going to be a sweet, easy-going baby. I tried to get some good pics, but let's be honest, I was too busy wanting to hold and cuddle her to get too many :)

It's hard to tell exactly who the baby looks like when she is so young, but she looks almost identical to Lo's baby pics. Seeing this little 10-day old got me excited to meet our own little one. Lauren's convinced I'm having a boy, but we shall see. Whether friends or boyfriend/girlfriend, I can't wait to see the two grow up together :)

Any Time Now..

these two will meet their first child, Miss Lillie Grace Perkins. I can't wait to meet her! If she is anything like her Mama, she will be beautiful, smart, and hilarious. As soon as this Lillie is born I'll be sure to post some pics :)

Most of you know that Lauren is my BFF and basically my sister. So it's no surprise, that I am REAL excited!!

A Surprise for Erin

This past weekend we celebrated Erin's upcoming wedding at a very cute Bridal Shower in Glendora. We had a great time playing games and watching Erin open her bundles and bundles of presents. It was great to see all the wonderful things Erin and Andrew received, but I was excited for present-opening for a whole other reason. I had a little secret gift for Erin.

For about the last 3 weeks in August I worked on an extra special gift for my "Luva." I sent out an email to Erin's closest female friends and family asking for recipes, as well as, pics of them and Erin. The response was amazing! I had such a great time putting together Erin's special cookbook (honestly, my favorite gift I've ever given!). "Erin's Cookbook" ended up being 100 pages of recipes from all of her family and friends. Here is a look at the finished product!
